Our great mentors - the El Medio Fire Station in Southside - Oroville and our year-round host for the Fire House Certified Farmers Market is holding a fundraiser in cooperation with the Hamilton City Fire Department to raise funds for fixing the roof of their fire station.

Two male student nurses took around 10 blood pressures and were able to give some tips about how to lower blood pressure at the Fire House Certified Farmers Market in October. They were also able to buy some cheap fresh veggies. Markets run year-round on Thursdays - 11 AM to 3 PM - Myers & D Street - Oroville.

We hope to have other health students providing this much appreciated service in Oroville in the near future.

Wind and fire did not stop our farmers from showing up and selling at the farmers market this last Thursday. We had 7 farmers set up their booths, including three new ones.
